Our ProductsMajinola Meats sells Wagyu beef to restaurants and consumers. Wagyu beef originated in Japan and is often referred to as "Kobe Beef". This breed of cattle is genetically predisposed to store more fat within the animals' muscles, otherwise known as marbling. And, it's the marbling that gives the meat its extraordinary flavor, tenderness and juiciness. And unlike other beef, the marbling in Wagyu has a higher percentage of healthier, mono-unsaturated fat that actually helps to lower cholesterol and other heart-related diseases. As a family-owned and operated business, Majinola Meats takes pride in the fact they’re small. They retain the beef’s renowned flavor and tenderness by not mass-producing or using growth hormones. And even more, they ensure an increased quality of life for every animal on their ranch, feeding them only homegrown corn-based feed.
It has been documented that in Japan, Wagyu cattle were fed beer to increase their appetite and given massages to relieve stress and muscle stiffness. Although Majinola Meats has not implemented massaging each animal, starting in January 2010, they are proud to partner with Lucky Bucket Brewing Company out of Lavista, NE by feeding Luckey Bucket's spent grain*. This partnership with Lucky Bucket is Majinola's way of adding beer to the cattle's diet. *Brewers grains is the solid substance that consists mostly of grain husks not converted to sugars during the mashing and lautering process. |
